The documents came together with a lot 19th early 20th century postcards. This is one of them.

This one is signed by Soult as the Lieutnant General of the "Armee d`observation du Midi". It`s about the Fusilier Ch. Auguin of the 61st Demi-Brigade who was wounded after the crossing of the Monte Pelegrino. The date on the document is 13th Prairial of the Year 9 of the Republic (June 2, 1801). Soult's signature is on the left side. It`s also signed by his Chef de Batallion with the name Coignet. Looks like the other names on it are his former Company Commanders and his Regimental Commander.

The document is a "Soult" letter he wrote in the position of General of the Consular Guard and Commander of the (Boulogne) Camp, Saint-Omer. It is a letter to General Geroux about Artillery matters. It is written and signed by Soult on 23rd Frimaire of the Year 12 of the Republic. (December 15, 1803)
